Our First Community Stonecreek Court Apartments

Adding new housing units is an essential part of our mission, but so is saving those that already exist.

Stonecreek Court Apartments in Ephrata was at risk of becoming market-rate housing, threatening affordability for dozens of middle-income families. By choosing Stonecreek as our first property, we’re ensuring these homes remain affordable for the long haul.

That’s why preservation is a key part of our approach.

Proximity to schools, shops, healthcare, and recreation is a key factor we consider when reviewing potential projects. Located in Ephrata, Stonecreek Court offers residents convenient access to a range of essential services, amenities, and job opportunities.

Lancaster Housing Works is a 501(c)3 nonprofit working to create hundreds of reasonably priced rentals across our county.

Founded in 2024, we’re piloting a new funding model that will sidestep some of the biggest challenges to the development of middle-income housing. This model will increase the supply of housing that Lancaster County residents earning 50–80% of the median income can realistically afford.

Without the right partners, this vision doesn’t pencil out.

Lancaster Housing Works will partner with the High Companies, a trusted name in local real estate for more than 40 years, to acquire, build, and manage properties in our portfolio. They will provide these services at below-market rates, helping us to deliver more middle-income housing faster.

Let’s prioritize housing for our

hardest-working neighbors.
